Hiiiii everyone! It’s been a few months since I’ve blogged. I’ve missed writing and sharing with y’all on here, so to jump back into it I figured I would start off with the main reason I haven’t been blogging lately.
As many of you know – I GOT MARRIED! Which means, for these past few months, I’ve been very busy wedding planning. Planning your wedding is fun because you want the day to be just like the day you’ve been dreaming of since you were 8 years old – the most perfect day ever. So all the details matter. You want everything to be exactly how you’ve envisioned it. There is SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT. So – it is fun – but it is also very overwhelming and time-consuming. I’m glad I got to experience the planning process and that I was able to make our wedding weekend special and meaningful to Derek and I – however, with that being said, I’m not sad that the planning is over!!! Time to think about normal things again! Things besides flowers and cake and linens and program order and seating charts and hotel welcome bags and sparklers and dresses, etc, etc, etc!
Today marks our “one month” anniversary of being married! To celebrate, we’re going out for dinner and drinks and I cannot wait! Marriage, honestly, has been so much fun. I love how the commitment of marriage makes you really think more about the other person than yourself and strengthens your love for each other. I know it’s only been a month, so I’m a newbie at this, but I hope the best has yet to come. 🙂
I’m going to share my favorite photos with you from the big day. We have hundreds of them but I don’t want to bore you so I promise I’m picking my absolute favorite shots we took to sum it all up. My photographer, Britney Tarno with Tarnos Photography, was absolutely amazing. I love her work and she is a dream to work with. Britney was with me from the beginning of the getting ready process to our exit from the reception, so really she was my best friend on the wedding day! Also – it was 98 degrees in Texas, and she let me wipe my sweat on the kimono/cardigan she was wearing throughout the day. If that isn’t a sign of an awesome photographer – I don’t know what is!!!
Shoutouts to my other amazing vendors, who made our day incredible!
